Alex Weeks
Alex grew up in San Ramon and attended Cal High (2005). He then went on to play baseball at College of San Mateo and transferred to San Diego State, graduating in 2010. Alex then received his Masters’ in Kinesiology from St. Mary’s College in 2014.
Before opening Efficiency Sports Performance, Alex coached at College of San Mateo for the past nine years earning the title Associate Head Coach. During a portion of his time at CSM, Alex was in charge of the baseball strength and conditioning program. His passion for training athletes comes from his own personal experiences as a player and coach.
Kayla Ching
Kayla grew up in our shop as a softball player; she graduated from Manteca High (2018) before continuing her career at St. Mary’s College and Cal State East Bay graduating in 2022.
Kayla joined ESP part time upon graduation before taking a coaching position at William Penn University in Iowa while completing her graduate degree in Sports Management. She moved home in 2024 and became full time with ESP working her way up to Assistant Director and manages the ESP internship program.

Danny Keller
Danny Keller is a physical therapist and Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF who treats all types of musculoskeletal conditions, including generalized joint pain, sport-specific injuries, and adaptive athletics and limb loss.
Danny works with numerous specialized clinics, including the Specialized Limb Loss Clinic, the UCSF Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery clinic, and is one of the three UCSF PTs who treat the Cal Berkeley Athletics teams at UCB. He has worked extensively with both youth and adult baseball players and holds his Specialty in Baseball Rehabilitation from Champion PT and Performance.
Dr. Keller has been involved in numerous research projects. He contributed to the development of exercise programs for NASA astronauts with low back pain as well as a study on the effects of cupping (an ancient Chinese treatment that uses negative pressure) on the body. He continues to pursue research on patient care in orthopedics and sports medicine, as well as teaching in the UCSF/SFSU DPT Program.
Danny earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in the joint program of UCSF and San Francisco State University. He is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, through which he is certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife and son, coaching in Bollinger Canyon Little League, and rooting for his favorite Bay Area sports teams, the 49ers, Warriors and Giants.
